TOLEDO CHEROKEE RETURN HOME THIS WEEEKEND

(FRIDAY AND SATURDAY VS. CINCINNATI)

Toledo OH:         The Toledo Cherokee return to action this weekend on Friday and Saturday night at the Team Toledo Ice House when they take on the Cincinnati Thunder. Face off for both games is at 7:00PM.

Toledo is currently 18-15-2 good for 38 points in the tough East division. Cincinnati plays out of the Midwest division and has a record of 14-21-1-1 for 30 points.

The Cherokee are coming off a weekend where they picked up three of four points against the West Michigan Wolves.

Roman Malkov (Yaroslavl RUS) picked up his 10th win for the Cherokee on Friday. Ricky Kwapich (Toledo OH) leads Toledo in scoring with 17 goals, 36 assists for 53 points. Ben Hamilton (Toledo OH) leads all Cherokee defensemen in points with 26.

On Saturday night the Cherokee will be hosting a memorial game in the honor of Ken “SAP” Miller.  All GTAHA players get free admission. The Cherokee will wear special event Sap jerseys that will be auctioned off in a silent auction during the game. There will be a  50/50 raffle, SAP gear sale, and a special appearance by our ADM U8 team scrimmaging between periods. All fans are invited to come out and show support for our Jr. A team while remembering SAP who left us two years ago on February 8th.
