Alan Brouillette came up big, stopping 39 of 41 shots throughout the game. The Wooster Oilers took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Zach Zwierecki.

During the second, Malinak opened the scoring for Wooster with a goal at 7:47 with helpers from King and Frieson. Zwierecki deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 10:19 with assists from his linemates, Kesto and Frieson.
In the third period, Snyder finally put the Cherokee on the board with a goal at 15:30 with helpers from his linemates, Williams and Perry. Critzer answered for the Oilers with a goal at 19:54 with assists from Banyasz and Barney.
