The Cherokee fall to the Wolves 4-3

Ricardo Gonzalez came up big, stopping 35 of 39 shots throughout the game. The Lansing Wolves took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Michael Schramm.

Anthony Weinrich had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Adam Felser chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Jacob Deratany contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Justin Sill delivered for his team with 2 assists.

During the first period, Felser opened the scoring for the Cherokee with a goal at 0:07 with helpers from his linemates, Snyder and Weinrich. Deratany answered for the Wolves with a goal at 4:55 with helpers from his linemates, Pipper and Weyh. Diver netted a goal at 9:32 with an assist from Deratany. Zucker quickly followed with a goal at 11:23 with helpers from his linemates, Sill and Ross.

In the second, Snyder answered for Toledo with a goal at 3:16 with an assist from defenseman Ressler. Schramm answered for the Wolves with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 13:33 with helpers from Weaver and Sill. Weinrich quickly followed with a goal at 14:00 with assists from his linemates, Felser and Snyder.

This loss brings the Toledo Cherokee’s record to (5-9-0-0).
