The Cherokee recorded a shutout against the Wolves 8-0 in home game

The Toledo Cherokee struggled against the Lansing Wolves allowing Brendan Smith to score a hat trick as Toledo crushed Lansing 8-0 in a home game at The Summit Sports & Ice Complex in Toledo. Furthermore, Sean Finstrom posted a shutout, stopping all 16 of the Cherokee shots throughout the game. The Lansing Wolves took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Brendan Smith and never looked back.

Bear Ross had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Jacob Redman contributed with 2 assists.

In the first, Smith opened the scoring for the Wolves with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 9:14 with helpers from his teammates Forman and Diver. Smith netted a goal at 19:07 with helpers from Ashley and Redman.

During the second, Ross scored a goal at 2:11 with assists from Zucker and Diver.

In the third, Smith put in a goal at 5:34 with assists from Forman and Redman. Deratany quickly followed with a goal at 6:26 with helpers from his linemates, Zucker and Ross. Davenport deposited a goal at 13:29 with assists from Smith and Forman. Siewertsen quickly followed with a goal at 14:57 with helpers from Stensland and Finstrom. Fitch quickly followed with a goal at 15:08 with assists from his linemates, Echelbarger and Sill.

This loss brings the Toledo Cherokee’s record to (12-32-1-0).
