The Cherokee struggled against the Oilers 5-2 in home game

The Toledo Cherokee's defense had a poor night, allowing the Wooster Oilers 26 shots throughout the game. The Wooster Oilers took the lead late in the second on a goal from Cole Barney.

Turner Banyasz did his part, adding 2 goals and Zach Zwierecki chipped in with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists).

During the first period, Banyasz opened the scoring for Wooster with a goal at 4:49 with helpers from his linemates, Zwierecki and Kesto. Zwierecki put in a goal at 15:58 with assists from teammates Kesto and Dawson.

In the second, Weinrich finally put the Cherokee on the board with a goal at 14:42 with a helper from Felser. Barney answered for the Oilers with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 19:50 with assists from Zwierecki and Kesto.

In the third period, Banyasz netted a goal at 7:17 with helpers from Hillebrecht and Seay. Snyder answered for Toledo with a goal at 19:15. Malinak quickly followed with a goal at 19:35 with assists from Dawson and Malinak.

This loss brings the Toledo Cherokee’s record to (11-24-1-0).
