The Cherokee struggled against the Xpress 6-3 in home game

Alan Brouillette came up big, stopping 20 of 23 shots throughout the game. The Southern Tier Xpress took the lead late in the second on a goal from Luke Macleod.

Blake Mullins chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Anthony Weinrich did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Stuart Pearson had a busy night with 2 goals and Luke Macleod contributed with 2 goals.

During the first period, Mullins opened the scoring for Toledo with a goal at 16:31 with helpers from Snyder and Papaioannou.

In the second, Restle answered for the Xpress with a goal at 3:44 with an assist from defenseman Rickabaugh. Pearson quickly followed with a goal at 4:19 with helpers from Ogeka and Wilcox. Macleod put in a goal at 8:35 with an assist from defenseman Allen. Weinrich answered for Toledo with a goal at 15:18 with helpers from Mullins and Cummings. Macleod answered for the Xpress with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 17:24 with an assist from Muecke.

During the third, Keller scored a goal at 5:58 with a helper from his linemate Lamison. Pearson deposited a goal at 8:04. Gilbert answered for the Cherokee with a goal at 12:03 with assists from his linemates, Weinrich and Snyder.

This loss brings the Toledo Cherokee’s record to (5-10-0-0).
