Toledo downs Point Mallard, 5-0

David Bogart grabbed one point to lead the Toledo Cherokee to a 5-0 victory over the Point Mallard Ducks.

Toledo\’s penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Point Mallard power plays.

Toledo also got points from Cody Estrel, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Toledo also had goals scored by Michael Pisanti, Dominic Pisanti, and Aaron Roschinsky, who each put in one. In addition, Toledo received assists from Brody Duncan, who had two and Cam Schwartz, Zach Swanson, Austin Turner, Mark McGee, Nikolas Verbosky, and Tristin Snyder, who each chipped in one.

Point Mallard did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Ducks average 3.7 goals per game.

Glen Bates made 17 saves for the Cherokee on 17 shots. Toledo incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Point Mallard\’s Billy Wager stopped 21 shots out of the 25 that he faced. The Ducks incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
