Toledo falls to Chicago in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

Ryan Maksimovic gave the Chicago Junior Bulldogs a 3-2 (OT) victory over the Toledo Cherokee when he scored 3:16 into the extra period.

Tyler Dalton had a great game for Chicago, netting two goals. Dalton\’s tallies came at 19:41 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and on the power play 11:18 into the third to make the score 2-2.

Toledo was unable to stop the Junior Bulldogs from sending pucks towards the net, and Chicago eventually piled up 39 shots on goal.

In addition, Chicago received assists from Matt Kostopoulos, who had two and Vince Bartkowiak, Matt Blaszkiewicz, and Christopher Wachal, who each chipped in one.

The Cherokee were helped by Aaron Roschinsky, who registered one goal and one assist. Roschinsky scored 16:41 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Toledo. Zachary Armstrong assisted on the tally. Toledo additionally got points from Armstrong, who also had one goal and one assist. More assists for Toledo came via David Bogart and Brody Duncan, who contributed one a piece.

The Junior Bulldogs\’ Joey Garapolo stopped 23 shots out of the 25 that he faced. Chicago incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Nate Gay rejected 36 shots on goal for Toledo. The Cherokee incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
